well known street artist t.wat, has been actively shaking up the art world for several years. part of the urban art scene, they follow a mantra of antiestablishmentarianism, and similar to many other street artists they go to great lengths to maintain their anonymity. no subject appears to be out of bounds for tee wat and they have produced thought provoking works on subjects such as the police, the queen, liberty and the american dream itself.  some of their best known work was graffiti art of max clifford 'i can make you famous' made shortly after their arrest and appearing at multiple locations around london in 2014. the kray twins with tescos carrier bags is another favourite subject for this street artist.

about this art:

street artist t.wat abolishes the disney character Mickey Mouse and presents him in a new and provocative way. a symbol that at the same time can bring thoughts of childhood joy and innocence, can also be interpreted as capitalism run amok and the perversion of youth. Falling squarely in the later camp tee wat (aka t.wat) here makes a strong social commentary on the worlds most well known mouse. Rather than the clean cut and pure vision of mickey mouse which is how disney would have him portrayed, t.wat shows mickey with warts and all. in this with case coffee stains, spilled paint, and obscene hand gestures.
