about this art:
street artist t.wat abolishes the disney character Mickey Mouse and presents him in a new and provocative way. a symbol that at the same time can bring thoughts of childhood joy and innocence, can also be interpreted as capitalism run amok and the perversion of youth. Falling squarely in the later camp tee wat (aka t.wat) here makes a strong social commentary on the worlds most well known mouse. Rather than the clean cut and pure vision of mickey mouse which is how disney would have him portrayed, t.wat shows mickey with warts and all. in this with case coffee stains, spilled paint, and obscene hand gestures.
