artist biography

luc langeron, born in in 1965, is a contemporary fine artist living and working in france. he’s created artworks in a number of different styles throughout his career, with a technique and artistic approach that is constantly evolving.

his most recent works have become possibly his most popular style, with brightly coloured wooden strips on dark bases, combining painting and sculpture.

they are a beautiful exploration of the cross-over between natural and abstract forms, with each piece of wood split along the natural lines of its grain, before being painted and rearranged together.
